SWAINSBORO, Ga. - Mrs. Nina Dekle Price, 89, died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2000, at Emanuel County Nursing Home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Benjie Varnell officiating. Burial will be in Swainsboro City Cemetery.
Mrs. Price, a native of Emanuel County, had retired from the Emanuel County Public School System after 37 years, where she was selected as 1957 Teacher of the Year and was a charter member of Ada Bell Williams Book Club. She was a member of Emanuel County Retired Teachers Association, Delta Kappa Gamma and First United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Weslyan Service Guild and John R. Flanders Sunday School Class.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Hortense Fountain Dekle, Swainsboro.
Pallbearers will be Trey Dekle, Adam Gay, Jonathan Gay, Steven Tomlinson, Jim Thurman, Elwyn Coleman, Bill Breedlove and Billy Boulineau.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of C.I. Hall Sunday School Class and John R. Flanders Sunday School Class of First United Methodist Church, Emanuel County Retired Teachers Association and Ada Bell Williams Book Club.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church Organ Fund.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary.
