Mrs. Velma Flakes



WAYNESBORO, Ga. - Mrs. Velma Harrison Flakes, 86, of Brentwood Drive, died Monday, Nov. 20, 2000, at Burke County Hospital.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Habersham Methodist Church Cemetery, Perkins, with the Rev. Willard Godbee officiating.

Mrs. Flakes, a native of Bulloch County, was a homemaker and a member of Habersham Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Harold Flakes, Savannah, and Charles Franklin Flakes, Ellaville; four daughters, Mary Redd and Marcel Joyner, both of Hephzibah, Annette Harloam, Augusta, and Wilma Quick, Waynesboro; a sister, Mary Kennedy, Statesboro; and 27 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Don Redd, Wayne Redd, William Redd Jr., Bill McGlohorn Jr., Keith Redd and Kevin Joyner.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today at DeLoach Funeral Home.
