GREENSBORO, Ga. - Mr. William Rabun "Bill" Johnson Jr., 87, of Cedar Grove Road, died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2000, at Greene Point Health Care Center.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at First Presbyterian Church of Greensboro with Dr. Ford G'Segner and the Rev. Richard Chewning officiating. Burial will be in Greensboro City Cemetery.
Mr. Johnson, a native of Troupe County, had retired from the forestry industry at Georgia Kraft. He was former president of American Cancer Society, Cemetery Association and Historical Society and was a member of AARP, Historical Preservation Committee Northeast Georgia Planning Commission and First Presbyterian Church of Greensboro.
Survivors include his wife, Thedeous Thurmond Johnson; a son, William Rabun Johnson III, San Mateo, Calif.; a stepson, Johnny Lewis, Siloam; two stepdaughters, Jana Chillemi, Sky Valley, and Toni Barnhart, Greensboro; two sisters, Maidie Grubbs, Sylvester, and Overton Magnum, LaGrange; and seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John Chillemi, Tommy Chillemi, David Barnhart, Clinton Perkins, Harwell Lee Perkins and Rufus Perkins.
Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Greensboro.
