Mr. Kenneth H. Ripnen, 91, of Bourne Place, died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2000, at Medical College of Georgia Hospital.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Telfair Street, with Dr. G. Daniel McCall officiating. Burial will be in Westover Memorial Park.
Mr. Ripnen, a native of New York, was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a former architect and was founder of The Ripnen Co., New York. He was a member of Augusta Country Club, Pinetucky Gun Club, Pinnacle Club, American Yacht Club, New York Athletic Club, American Institute of Architects and American Management Association. He attended Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church.
The family said: "Mr. Ripnen was a very unique man who touched the lives of everyone he met. He was a man from the `old school.' He showered everyone he met with his generosity."
Survivors include a sister, May Kortmeier, Marietta.
Pallbearers will be Karl Robert Kortmeier, Keith David Kortmeier, John Hewson, Kenneth Allen Kortmeier, Don Boykin and Gary Simmons.
Memorials may be made to Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church, 2261 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30904; or to Boy Scouts of America, 1252 Gordon Park Road, Augusta, GA 30901.
