What worked: Once again, Georgia Tech's offensive fired on all cylinders. Quarterback George Godsey shredded Maryland's secondary for 354 yards. Wide receiver Kelly Campbell caught two touchdown passes and finished with five catches for 90 yards, while receiver Kerry Watkins finished with five catches for 147 yards. Meanwhile, tailback Joe Burns rushed for 112 yards, his fourth straight 100-yard game. The defense limited the Terps to 338 yards, including just 20 yards rushing. Maryland's Lamont Jordan was held to a season-low 25 yards rushing.
What didn't: Very little. The Jackets continued playing well and extended their winning streak to six.
Analysis: Georgia Tech kept Maryland from becoming bowl eligible Saturday. Meanwhile, the Jackets continued its momentum heading into its showdown with Georgia this week. With 377 yards passing, Godsey can break Joe Hamilton's single-season record for passing yards.
