WAYNESBORO, Ga. - Mrs. Annie Way, of Clark Place Road, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2000, at University Hospital, Augusta.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Thompson Bridge Baptist Church with the Rev. J.D. Shaw officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Way, a native of Burke County, was a former employee of Samsons Manufacturing Corp. and a member of Thompson Bridge Baptist Church, where she was an usher.
The family said, "We wish to express our appreciation for all the prayers, thoughts and many acts of kindness and love during our time of bereavement."
Survivors include four daughters, Frances Harrison, Lizzie Way, Lynette Way and Katherine Way, all of Waynesboro; a stepdaughter, Ruby Shorter, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; three sisters, Isabelle Harper, Waynesboro, Sammie J. Youngblood, Augusta, and Julia Small, New York; and 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Willie Frazier, Herman Brown, Joseph Harper, George Harper, Billy Stone and Thomas Whitfield Jr.
Friends may call at the residence of Lizzie Way, 1340 Clark Place Road; or at Phinazee & Son Funeral Home.
