AIKEN - Mr. Fred Hilary Lefler, 78, of Audubon Drive, died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2000, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Shellhouse Funeral Home with the Rev. Shelia Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, Graniteville.
Mr. Lefler, a native of Concord, N.C., was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He had retired from the Navy and as an administrator from Continental Can. He was a life member of Etiwan Masonic Lodge No. 95, Mount Pleasant, and a member of Highland Park Golf Club and St. John United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Minerva Johnson Lefler; two daughters, Marilyn Schroder, Camden, and Nancy Perrine, Aiken; two sisters, Helena Mullis, Fayetteville, N.C., and Frances Ann Yager, Virginia; and five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Arledge, Thomas Hill, John Carlton, Chris League and Danny Perrine.
Memorials may be made to St. John United Methodist Church, 104 Newberry St., Aiken, SC 29801.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
