A look at the No. 22 Georgia Bulldogs (6-3, 4-3 SEC) two days before they play host to the Mississippi Rebels (6-3, 3-3) on Saturday (6 p.m., ESPN2):

Latest news:

Rebels tailback Deuce McAllister has missed considerable time this week after the recent death of his brother. Ole Miss coach David Cutcliffe said McAllister missed Monday's practice, returned Tuesday and practiced Wednesday, but will miss workouts today.

Injuries:

QB Quincy Carter (thumb) is out. LB Ryan Fleming (ankle) is doubtful. LB Kendrell Bell (thigh) is questionable.

Key stat:

McAllister has rushed for 213 yards -- 109 in 1998 and 104 in 1999 -- against Georgia the past two years.

Analysis:

The Bulldogs started the season hoping for a national title, but were forced to downgrade to 10-win aspirations after losing to Florida. Now, the latest rallying cry for coach Jim Donnan is winning the last two games for the team's seniors.

Quote:

"We know that we still have a lot to play for. We've got the pride of the seniors. We've talked about dedicating the rest of the year to our seniors because they've been part of resurrecting this program and the chance to go to four straight bowls. So we're going to play hard for our team, but also for our seniors." -- Donnan.
