MONDAY

The Friedman Branch Library will have a special Halloween Story Time from 7 to 7:45 p.m. for ages 4 to 10. Children can come in costume. Refreshments will be served.

Breast Cancer Awareness Lunch-N-Learn, a free breast cancer awareness luncheon, will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Richmond County Health Department, 850 Laney-Walker Blvd.

WEDNESDAY

Dr. Frank Chou, professor emeritus in the College of Education at Augusta State University, will speak on Coming to America: The Immigrant Experience at noon at the Augusta Museum of History, 560 Reynolds St. as part of the Brown Bag History Series. THURSDAY

Martin David Jones will perform in a solo piano recital at 8 p.m. at Augusta State University's Grover C. Maxwell Performing Arts Theatre. The concert will feature music by Previn, Haydn and Gershwin. Admission is free.

Dr. Alice Taylor-Colbert of Shorter College will speak about the Trail of Tears at the Augusta Genealogical Society meeting from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Augusta Museum of History, 560 Reynolds St. The meeting is open to the public, and admission is free.

Historic Augusta's annual Antiques Show and Sale will take place through Sunday at the Old Academy of Richmond County building, 540 Telfair St. There will be antiques dealers from throughout the Southeast who will showcase period furniture, fine art, jewelry and decorative accessories at the Antiques Show and Sale to support the work of Historic Augusta. Show hours will be from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Tickets cost $7 and will provide repeat access to the show throughout the weekend. Suruba Wechsler, the Atlanta author of By the Grace of God, will be the guest speaker at the Jewish Women's Symposium at 1 p.m. at the Augusta Jewish Community Center, 868 Weinberger Way.
