Mr. Chester Parker Jr.



GLOVERVILLE - Mr. Chester A. Parker Jr., 71, of Hillvale Street, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers, Aiken.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Napier Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Youngblood officiating. Burial will be in Langley Cemetery, Langley.

Mr. Parker, a native of Ware Shoals, had served in the Army National Guard and had retired as an auto mechanic. He was a member of Gloverville First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Allene Durden Parker; a son, Jamie Parker, Aiken; three daughters, Barbara Randall and Katie Parker, both of Gloverville, and Lynn Black, Augusta; three brothers, Cecil Parker and Johnnie Parker, both of Aiken, and Vernon Parker, Graniteville; two sisters, Juanita Redd, Windsor, and Erma Dobek, Langley; and eight grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jack Durden, Reggie Redd, Marshall Redd, Mike Spence, Lewis Parker and William Parker.

Friends may call at the residence.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
