NORTH AUGUSTA - Mr. Freddie L. Dunbar Sr., 50, of Seaborn Drive, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at University Hospital, Augusta.
The funeral will be in 3 p.m. Wednesday at Second Providence Baptist Church with the Rev. Albert James officiating. Burial will be in Second Providence Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Dunbar, a native of Aiken County, was a truck driver. He was a member of Second Providence Baptist Church, where he was a trustee and a member of male chorus, bus ministry and prison ministry.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Knight Dunbar; a son, Freddie L. Dunbar Jr., San Diego; a daughter, Courtney Michelle Turner, Belvedere; his mother, Bessie Henley Dunbar, Beech Island; seven sisters, Betty Trottie, Philadelphia, Irene Simmons and Ann Bell, both of Aiken, Jeanette Carpenter, Jerri Dunbar and Siretha Dunbar, all of Augusta, and Kathy Green, Beech Island; and three grandchildren.
