AIKEN - Mrs. Lila Burkhalter Millian, of Frontage Road, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at her residence.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church with Monsignor Thomas A. Evatt officiating. Burial will be in Aiken Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Millian, a native of Bath, was a Navy veteran of World War II and had retired as a lieutenant over crossing guards from Prince Williams County School, Manassas, Va. She was a member of American Legion Post 153, Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service and St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Susie Millian, San Francisco; two sisters, Sadie Wood, Beaufort, S.C., and Bobby Jean Burkhalter, Augusta; and two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Charles Tippins Jr., Jeff Burkhalter, Tommy Moore, Martin Posey, Brian Plaugher and Wade Webber.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, P.O. Box 438, Aiken, SC 29802.
The family will receive friends Monday after a 7 p.m. vigil service at Hatcher Funeral Home, Langley.
