Mr. Ira Roberts



PERKINS, Ga. - Mr. Ira L. Roberts, 81, of Perkins-Greenfork Road, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, at Burke County Hospital, Waynesboro.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Magnolia Baptist Church with the Revs. Horace Lariscy and Bill Turner officiating. Burial will be in McDonald Baptist Church Cemetery, Hilltonia.

Mr. Roberts, a native of Screven County, had retired as a carpenter and was a member of Farm Bureau, American Quarter Horse Association and Magnolia Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Bragg Roberts; three sons, Ray L. Roberts, Millen, Fred L. Roberts, Sardis, and Richard I. Roberts, Metter; two daughters, Barbara R. Clark, Savannah, and Brenda R. Dailey, Millen; two brothers, Wayburn R. Roberts, Millen, and Alex Roberts, Thomson; five sisters, Hazel Hinely, Frances Chance and Vaughna Roberts, all of Millen, Joanne Lariscy, Sylvania, and Waldeen Springmire, Rochelle, Ill.; and seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Chris Chance, Joe Roberts, Chad Roberts, Jay Clark,, Rex Dailey, Kevin Myers, David Chance and Matt Roberts.
