Dr. William V. "Bill" Gillikin, 74, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2000, at Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Twin City First Baptist Church, Twin City. Burial will be in Twin City Cemetery, Twin City.
Dr. Gillikin, a native of New Bern, N.C., was an Army veteran. He graduated from The Citadel, Charleston, and Bowman Gray School of Medicine, Winston-Salem, and had practiced medicine in Twin City for 30 years. He was Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Jessie Dodson Gillikin, Columbus; a son, Shawn Gillikin, Metter; a daughter, Sheila Gillikin-Abadier, Inverness, Fla.; two brothers, Charles Gillikin, Panama City, Fla., and Robert Gillikin, Goldsboro, N.C.; and a grandchild.
Kennedy-Morgan Funeral Home, Metter, is in charge of arrangements.
