Mr. Grady John Mobley Sr., 84, of Powell Road, died Tuesday, October 10, 2000, at his residence.
Graveside services with full military honors will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bellevue Memorial Gardens, Grovetown, with the Rev. Steve English officiating.
Mr. Mobley, a native of Dalton, had retired as a sergeant from the Army after 30 years and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, where he earned a Purple Heart. He had retired as a civil servant after 17 years. He was Baptist.
Survivors include two sons, Grady J. Mobley Jr. and Walter Harold Mobley, both of Augusta; two daughters, Julia Mobley, Augusta, and Virginia M. Johnson, Edgefield, S.C.; and 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be members of a military honor guard.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Poteet Funeral Home, Wheeler Road.
