JACKSON - Mr. Henry Adams Hartline, 81, of Jackson Road, died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2000, at St. Joseph Hospital, Augusta.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Stephen D. Posey Funeral Home, North Augusta, with the Rev. Donald F. Lumpkin officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Hartline, a native of Troutman, N.C., was an Army veteran of World War II and had retired as a carpenter from DuPont at Savannah River Site after 30 years. He was a Pony League baseball coach, volunteered for Boy Scouts of America and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Ray Hartline, Aiken, and Jerry Henry Hartline, Beech Island; a daughter, Mary Ann Van Buren, Jackson; four brothers, Charles Hartline, Citrus Heights, Calif., Frank Hartline, Ridgeville, Bill Hartline, Troutman, and Al Hartline, Statesville, N.C.; two sisters, Janie Kapral, Milford, Conn., and Merle Barger, Salisbury, N.C.; and eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Hartline Jr., David Petersen, Terry Hornsby, Leo Preuss Jr., Jay Jarrett, Tom Farmer and Jason Cotton.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Hospice, 681 Silver Bluff Road, Aiken, SC 29803.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
