A look at the No. 5 Clemson Tigers (6-0, 4-0 ACC) four days before they play host to Maryland (2-3, 0-2) on Saturday(6 p.m., ESPN2):

Latest news:

With the Tigers improving to 6-0 for the first time since the 1987 season, Clemson head coach Tommy Bowden says there are five games left in the regular season, and Tigers fans shouldn't get too excited yet. Even though Clemson has won its pastseven games, the Tigers can't get caught looking ahead.

Injuries:

None reported.

Key stat:

Clemson's Woody Dantzler set the Clemson record for yards rushing in a season by a quarterback in Saturday's victory. He rushed for 103 yards, giving him 732 on the season. He broke's Steve Fuller record of 649 set in 1978.

Analysis:

The Tigers must play better Saturday if they plan to stay undefeated. Maryland hasn't had much success against the Tigers lately, and Clemson needs to play well as it enters a critical three-game stretch that includes a road trip to North Carolina and a home game against Georgia Tech before a trip to Tallahassee to play Florida State.

Quote:

"All of that is not a factor until the end of the season. All we have to do is take care of business. But if we don't do that, we could be looking at some upsets like we saw yesterday (Saturday) -- Bowden, on his team's No. 5 ranking and 6-0 start.
