Al Gore asked Bill Clinton to dip into our oil reserves and take several million barrels. Like Mr. Clinton, Gore is pursuing short-term political gain at the cost of long-term damage to our national security.
Many top leaders have warned that if we start using our oil reserves it leaves us totally vulnerable to any country that knows we've already dipped into our reserves. I'm sure some people would vote for Al Gore if he got our gas prices down in this way, but many veterans would tell them war is hell.
Why lower our country's national security over a few dollars each time you fill up at the pump?
