Mrs. Margaret Pitman



FAIRFAX, S.C. - Mrs. Margaret Goodman Pitman, 74, died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2000, at St. Joseph Hospital, Augusta.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church of Fairfax. Burial will be in Fairfax Cemetery.

Mrs. Pitman, a native of Wilcox County, Ga., was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Fairfax, where she was former Sunday school secretary and a member of Ruth Sunday School Class and adult choir.

Survivors include her husband, Lyman Pitman Sr.; two sons, Lyman Pitman Jr., Hampton, and James Pitman, York; two daughters, Judy P. Manuel, Hartsville, and Brenda P. Bennett, Allendale; a brother, James Goodman, Port Royal; two sisters, Vera Flowers, Yemassee, and Bonnie Carr, Thorsby, Ala.; and 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Fairfax or Camp Jackson.

Smith-Rhoden Funeral Home, Allendale, is in charge of arrangements.
