I am a father of four normal children and am sick and tired of children with problems holding the classrooms hostage with bad behavior and disruptions of the learning experience.
I feel that the school system has made a tremendous effort to mainstream children with problems into the general school population. However, after all of these efforts have failed and the child continues to be disruptive, and even in the case of David Bell's Sept. 17 letter, assaults the teacher, then it's time for them to go.
The school system provides an alternative school for children who break the rules and cannot behave, and that's where these children belong. Under no circumstances do they belong in an overloaded class of children who are behaving and want to learn.
