SWAINSBORO, Ga. - Mrs. Mattie Perkins Chapman, 79, died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2000, at Emanuel Medical Center.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Southside Baptist Church with the Revs. Earl Warnock and Lamar Kersey officiating. Burial will be in Swainsboro City Cemetery.
Mrs. Chapman, a native of Emanuel County, had retired as a cafeteria worker from Swainsboro Public School and was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Billy Chapman Sr., Swainsboro; a daughter, Ann Buxton, Kite; a sister Fannie Fennell, Swainsboro; and eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Billy Chapman Jr., Kevin Chapman, Donnie Chapman II and Mike Buxton.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Adult 2 Sunday School Class.
Friends may call at the residence of Billy Chapman Sr., 90 Christopher Drive.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Hendley, Roundtree and Powell Funeral Home.
