G'day gents and Sheilas,
It's another lovely day in the land Down Under and I'd like to take you on a tour of my room in the Media Village.
After the bus drops you off at the main gate you walk about half a mile to this manufactured housing that seems to be made with no heat, no air conditioning and no insulation. I'm not complaining, but it's cold at night, hot during the day and definitely not big enough for two people.
We have two single beds and two dressers, but one of everything else, like showers, sinks, desks and phones. That can create some problems, although my roomie and I have managed to work through them.
There are three other rooms like ours in this cozy cottage, all sharing a common room in the middle. And you wonder why I spend all my free time (ha-ha) at the large gathering places in town. This is the 11th postcard from Sydney. It has a photo of Dennis Sodomka writing a story sitting on his bed in his room in the Media Village.
As far as these kinds of things go, this room isn't bad. At least the mattress and pillow are passable. But the closet door won't close if I put any clothes on a hanger. And did I mention, there's not enough room for two people. That's why I'm typing on my bed. It's either that or the floor.
See ya, then?
