Mr. Walter Wise



WARRENVILLE - Mr. Walter J. Wise, 65, of Briar Patch Lane, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2000, at University Hospital, Augusta.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Hatcher Funeral Home, Langley, with the Revs. Ron Hasty and Philip Napier officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, Graniteville.

Mr. Wise, a native of Aiken, was an Air Force veteran and had retired as a heavy equipment operator from Langley Engraving Co. He was a member of Printers and Engravers Local Union. He was Methodist.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Hall Wise; four sons, Larry Bell, Langley, Freddie Bell, Plum Branch, Robbie Bryant, North Augusta, and Christopher Wise, Augusta; a daughter, Debbie Lindsay, Jackson; three brothers, Arnel Wise, Langley, James Cook, North Augusta, and Larry Cook, Greenville; and two sisters, Joyce Hutto, Jackson, and Sylvia Priest, Hephzibah; and 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Allan Bell, Fred Bell, Jason Coley, Jeff Coley, Heyward Hutto, Jeb Lindsay, Jeff Peterson and Arnold Wise.

Memorials may be made to Woodridge Baptist Church Building Fund, 401 Birch St., North Augusta, SC 29841.

Friends may call at the residence.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
