TAMPA, Fla. - Mr. Thomas Gordon Sr., 66, died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2000, at Tampa Hospital.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church with the Rev. W.L. Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Garden.
Mr. Gordon, a native of Jefferson County, was a former member of Magnolia Baptist Church, Avera, Ga.
The family said, "He was a hard-working, loving and kind man that will be forever loved and missed."
Survivors include his wife, Florence Walker Gordon; two sons, Cedrick Frank Gordon, St. Petersburg, and Thomas Gordon Jr., Savannah; three daughters, Marsha Butts, Stone Mountain, Ga., and Mary Elaine Higdon and Valorie Anderson, both of Tampa; three brothers, Buford Gordon and Joe Lewis Gordon, both of Boston, and Garvin Gordon, Louisville, Ga.; five sisters, Anna Dora Davis, Tampa, Helen Farmer, Atlanta, Betty Montgomery and Carolyn Bascomb, both of Cambridge, Mass., and Linda Gordon Gibbons, Louisville; and 13 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call at the residence of Johnny and Linda Gibbons, 1330 Rocky Comfort Road, at Williams Funeral Home or at Davis Funeral Home, Louisville.
