Mrs. Emmie Floyd



BROOKLET, Ga. - Mrs. Emmie Ruth Swint Floyd, 84, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center, Statesboro.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home, Statesboro, with Harold McElveen and the Rev. Holli Tapley officiating. Burial will be in Bulloch Memorial Gardens, Statesboro.

Mrs. Floyd, a native of Jefferson County, was a homemaker and a member of Old Fellowship Baptist Church, Stilson.

Survivors include her husband, Clyde Norman Floyd; a son, James Floyd, Brooklet; two daughters, Alma Lanier, Brooklet, and Mary Katherine Jones, Statesboro; three sisters, Ivor Swint, Louise Cribbs and Frances White, all of Statesboro; and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bill Lanier, Bob Lanier, Lin Woodard, Billy Lanier, Bobby Jones and Hudson Powell.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
