A look at the No. 24 Georgia Bulldogs (1-1, 0-1 SEC) two days before they play host to New Mexico State (0-2) on Saturday (1 p.m., pay-per-view):

Latest news:

Coach Jim Donnan said a decision on the status of Jasper Sanks, who has been hampered by an ankle injury, won't be made until gametime. Running back Brett Millican was named to the NCAA Good Works Team on Wednesday.

Injuries:

RB Musa Smith (rotator cuff) is questionable, as are Sanks, DT Marcus Stroud (wrist), TE Randy McMichael (foot) and TE Jevaris Johnson (ankle).

Key stat:

The Bulldogs are 12-3 following a loss during the Donnan era.

Analysis:

Georgia will look to get the ball to its explosive receivers and tight ends. Reggie Brown, Johnson, Durell Robinson and Damien Gary didn't have a catch in the Bulldogs' 21-10 loss at South Carolina on Sept. 9.

Quote:

"We've got a long season, so we don't want him to get nicked up and not be ready to go the whole year. If he's ready to go, we'll play him. But if he's not, we're going to be real careful with him." -- Donnan, on Sanks.
