AIKEN - Dr. James Calvin Blalock Sr., 68, of Troon Way, died Monday, Sept. 18, 2000, at his residence.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Shellhouse Funeral Home. Burial with full military honors will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Dr. Blalock, a native of Mayfield, Ky., had retired as a colonel from the Army and was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars. He had retired as a radiologist from Aiken Regional Medical Centers. He was a former staff member and department chief of Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center and former president of Aiken Center for Radiology. He was a member of Aiken County Medical Society, South Carolina Medical Association, South Carolina Radiology Association, American College of Radiology, Radiological Society of North America, American Institute of Ultrasound, Houndslake Country Club and Palmetto Golf Club.
Survivors include his wife, Joanne Rokoas Blalock; two sons, James Calvin Blalock Jr., Aiken, and Jeffery Steven Blalock, North Augusta; a daughter, Stephanie Blalock Pratt, Augusta; a brother, William Neal Blalock, Paducah, Ky.; a sister, Nancy Ray, Mayfield; and nine grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Aiken County Medical Society.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
