Mr. L. Monroe Aldridge, 80, died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000, at University Hospital.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Platt's Funeral Home, North Belair Road, with the Rev. Larry Harmon officiating. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery.
Mr. Aldridge, a native of Graniteville, was an Air Force veteran of World War II and an Army veteran of the Korean War. He had retired as a power operator from DuPont and was a member of West Acres Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Elsie Judy Aldridge; a daughter, Beth Davis, Evans; three brothers, James L. Aldridge, Augusta, Landon T. Aldridge, Tallassee, Ala., and Gerald F. Aldridge, Viena, Va.; and two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Henry Wilson, Ira Collins, Benny Thomson, James Jobe, Will Turner and Paul Judy.
Memorials may be made to West Acres Baptist Church, 555 Gibbs Road, Evans, GA 30809.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
