Mr. Gary Reingardt



GROVETOWN - Mr. Gary C. Reingardt, 56, of Wrightsboro Road, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2000, at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Augusta.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Darien Church of God, Blunts Crossing, Darien, with the Rev. Tommy Whaley officiating.

Mr. Reingardt, a native of Sycamore, Ill., was a retired military instructor and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife, Nita Walden Reingardt; two step-sons, Harold Troups Jr., Cocoa Beach, Fla., and Levy Walden, Kissimmee, Fla.; two step-daughters, Wynell Gray, Satellite Beach, Fla., and Hilda Grace Martian, Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, Roger Cobb, Mesa, Ariz., and Jimmy Cobb, Sycamore; a sister, Karen Gilbrith, Hickley, Ill.; and seven stepgrandchildren, and 12 stepgreat-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Leukemia Society of America, 1247 Lake Murray Blvd., Irmo, SC 29063.

The family will receive friends after the memorial service.

Platt's Funeral Home, Crawford Avenue, Augusta, is in charge of arrangements.
