Mark Rosen, executive producer of Good Morning Augusta on WJBF-TV (Channel 6), was recently named the station's news director. He is a graduate of Aquinas High School and attended Mercer University. He has earned numerous awards during his seven years at the television station, including Best Newscast for the Georgia Associated Press Association.

Managing Director W.L.M. Knox Jr. and Vice Presidents Patrick J. Douglas and Charles E. Knox have opened a Morgan Keegan & Co. Inc.-Member NYSE-SIPC branch in the Augusta area.

Dr. Gilbert Jacobs, a pet cardiologist who specializes in heart diseases and medical problems in cats and dogs, recently opened Jacobs Veterinary Consulting Group, PC. Dr. Jacobs is in Augusta on Thursdays at the Animal Emergency Clinic of Greater Augusta,located at 2401 Washington Road.

Michelle Bennett has joined Serotta Maddocks Evans & Co. CPAs as their financial and research analyst.

Henry "Hank" Williams has joined Gerald Jones Daewoo as a sales consultant.

Bill Woodward has been named senior manager at Elliott, Davis & Co.

Aiken Technical College has hired six new employees: Lynn Rickabaugh, math instructor; Bruce Hoover, computer instructor; Diallo Cummings, math instructor; Jennifer Viereck, English instructor; Sharon Lorenti, nursing instructor; and Jennifer Pickney, library tech assistant. Linda Woodward has been promoted to systems support technician.

The following employees of International Paper's Augusta mill have recently been promoted:

Ruthmay Ferguson has been promoted to area process manager, coating/additives; Patrick J. Klement has been promoted to area process manager; Jeremy J. Pearson has been promoted to environmental, health and safety manager; and Paula Carden has been promoted to group leader for the pulp, power and recovery process-engineering group in the Technical Department.

Greg Dechau, the Edward Jones investment representative in Augusta, has accepted a limited partnership offering in The Jones Financial Cos., the holding company for the St. Louis-based financial services firm.
