GREENSBORO, Ga. - Mrs. Mary Frances Stapleton Neal, 86, of Mabel Lane, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000, at her residence.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at White Plains United Methodist Church, White Plains, with the Rev. Gary Nichols officiating. Burial will be in White Plains Cemetery, White Plains.

Mrs. Neal, a lifelong resident of Greene County, had retired as owner from Frances' Beauty Shop after 60 years. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Minnie G. Boswell Hospital Women's Auxiliary and White Plains United Methodist Church, where she taught Beginner's Class for 25 years and was a music director of Children's Sunday School Department.

Survivors include four nephews, Ike Moore, White Plains, Pete DeSantis, Thomasville; George Stapleton, Blairsville, and Edward Stapleton, Lakeland, Fla.; three nieces, Sadye June Corry, Siloam, Nancy Chapman, Crawfordville, and Libby Chapman, Union Point; and four great-nephews and six great-nieces.

Pallbearers will be Ike Moore, Isaac Moore, George Stapleton, Pete DeSantis, Wayne Corry, Bill Chapman, Edward Stapleton and Phillip Harkins.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
