S.A.L. Playoffs remain in Augusta

The South Atlantic League Southern Division playoffs between the Augusta GreenJackets and the Columbus ReddStixx will resume Thursday, September 7 at lake Olmstead Stadium. The playoffs were scheduled to move to Columbus, Ga on Wednesday, September 6, but due to adverse weather conditions, league officials deemed the ball field in Columbus unplayable. Game 2 in the best of three series will take place at 7:05 p.m. Thursday, with Game 3 (if needed) taking place at 7:05 p.m. on Friday, September 8 at Lake Olmstead Stadium.

Columbus leads the series over Augusta with their 2-1 win in Game 1 on Tuesday night. Columbus will be considered the home team going into Game 2 despite playing in Augusta. Probable starters for Thursday night's game are Ric Riccobono for Augusta and Adam Barr for Columbus.

Tickets for Game 2 are $5 for all seats and available on a first come, first serve basis. Tickets are available at the Augusta GreenJackets office at 78 Milledge Road, and can be charged by phone by dialing 706-736-7889 and will be available at the gate.
