Mr. John Harrell



THOMSON - Mr. John Wesley Harrell, 66, of Cleveland Street, died Monday, Sept. 4, 2000, at Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Centers, Augusta.

The funeral will be at 4:30 p.m. today at Beggs Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Garvin officiating. Burial will be in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Harrell, a native of Glascock County, was a Navy veteran and had retired as a textile worker from Milliken Corp.

The family said, "He was a loving father and a devoted husband."

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Jean Hilson Harrell; a son, Mitchell Wesley Harrell, Thomson; and a sister, Patricia Rabun, Thomson.

Pallbearers will be Ray Cloud, Earl Hilson, C.E. Phelps Jr., Jim Bramlett, Lloyd Hilson and Harvey Rogers.

Memorials may be made to Macedonia Baptist Church, Pairs and Spares Sunday School Class, c/o Judy Chisholm, 4522 Washington Highway, Norwood, GA 30821.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
