BARTOW, Ga. - Mr. Julius Gonder, 105, of Brookins Drive, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000, at Old Capita Inn Nursing Home, Louisville.
The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Jones Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev. John Wilburn officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Gonder, a native of Sandersville, had retired as a self-employed groundskeeper and was a member of Jones Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church.
The family said, "Mr. Gonder was quoted as having said his family, church and heavenly father were the loves of his life."
Survivors include four daughters, Donnie Mae Smith, Ella Mae Washington and Essie Tarver, all of Bartow, and Lester Jenkins, Harrison; and 21 grandchildren, 74 great-grandchildren and 122 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons and great-grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers will be stewards and trustees of Jones Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church.
Friends may call at the residence of Donnie Mae Smith, 1037 Brookins Circle; or at Hudson Mortuary, Wadley.
