I must disagree with Rabbi Jordan Parr's Aug. 15. column. Some Jews are not ecstatic about the "great moral stature" of Sen. Joseph Lieberman. Lieberman is certainly not a role model for Judaism. In fact, as a Jew, I am disappointed in Lieberman.
I felt momentary pride when he took the position that President Bill Clinton had behaved in an immoral way. But, he did not have the strength of this conviction to vote for impeachment. Now, he stands beside the man who proclaimed that President Clinton is the best American president ever.
Clinton broke the laws that the rest of Americans must follow and yet Lieberman has joined his clan. This is not the Judaism that I follow.
