All the listed events are open to the public, although membership in some organizations may be required.
Buck-A-Rama 2000 will be held at the Georgia Agri-Center in Perry, Ga. The event includes exhibits, taxidermy, outdoor gear, demonstrations and other programs for all ages. Admission is $7 for adults, $4 for seniors and children 6-12. Parking is free.
A fly tying clinic sponsored by the CSRA Flyfishing Association will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Brandon Wilde Studio. The association's monthly meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 28 at the Brandon Wilde Clubhouse.

Outdoor and environmental issues will be discussed at the annual "homecoming meeting" of the Sierra Club's Savannah River Group meeting at 7:30 p.m. at the Unitarian Church, 3501 Walton Way. The public is welcome. Call 863-2324 for details.
An archery-only deer hunt will be held at Bussey Point WMA along Thurmond Lake. Limit is one deer, doe or quality buck (four or more points on one side). Contact the Army Corps of Engineers for more information, 1-800-533-3478.
The March of Dimes Defects Foundation Bass Tournament will be from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Fort Gordon Recreation Area at Thurmond Lake. The two-person boat tournament has a $60 per boat fee and an optional $10 big bass award. Contact the March of Dimes, 733-8438, for more information.
The Fort Gordon Sportsman's Club meets on the third Thursday night of each month at 6 p.m. Membership is open to the public. The shooting range (7A) will be open to the public for firing and zeroing in rifles. A 3-D archery range also is available. Cost is $6 per person ($3 to club members).
