THOMSON - Mrs. Lizzie Kendrick Lampkin, 94, of Cherokee Street, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000, at her residence.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Popular Springs Baptist Church with the Revs. F.C. Henderson and Daniel Ramsey Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Lampkin, a native of McDuffie County, was a homemaker and a member of Popular Springs Baptist Church, where she was mother of the church, a deaconess and a member of Pastor Support Ministry.
The family said: "Lizzie, affectionately known as `Sugg,' possessed a beautiful character and lived a beautiful life. She was always willing to help anyone in her church and community."
Survivors include a son, Marion Lampkin, Thomson; three daughters, Louise Montgomery, Mary A. Brown and Robbie Lampkin, all of Thomson; a brother, Harvey Lee Kendrick, Philadelphia; and 24 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and 42 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Randy Lampkin, Alton Belton, David Babbs, Solomon Lazenby Jr. and Allen Lampkin.
Honorary pallbearers will be deacons and trustees of Popular Springs Baptist Church.
Friends may call at the residence.
The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall after the burial.
