Mrs. Lillie Maude Burns-Jacobs, 74, of Maple Street, died Monday, Aug. 7, 2000, at University Hospital.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Mount Carmel Baptist Church, Appling, with the Rev. Woodrow Miller officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Burns-Jacobs, a native of Columbia County, had retired as a dietitian and was a member of First Mount Carmel Baptist Church and Harmony Baptist Church, where she was a member of Missionary Ministry.
Survivors include three sons, Willie Murns and Harold Burns, both of Augusta, and Joseph Burns, Snellville; a daughter, Lillie Bennett, Nashville, Tenn.; three brothers, John Willingham, Thomas Willingham and Richard Willingham, all of Appling; three sisters, Ida Bynes and Bertha Powell, both of Baltimore, and Icy Ruth Jones, Appling; and 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the residence or at W.H. Mays Mortuary.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
