Mr. John Willingham



CLEARWATER - Mr. John E. Willingham, of Willingham Drive, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000, at Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Centers, Augusta.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Old Storm Branch Baptist Church, North Augusta, with the Rev. Nathaniel Irvin Sr. officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Willingham, a native of Columbia County, was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and was a former employee of Seminole Mill and United Merchants Mill. He was a member of American Legion Post 232 and Old Storm Branch Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Ron Williams, Clearwater, and Kelvin Potter, Atlanta; two daughters, Patricia Swint, Atlanta, and Shawn Williams, Clearwater; his mother, Willie Mae Willingham, Clearwater; two brothers, Grover Willingham, Richmond, Va., and Larry Willingham, Clearwater; two sisters, Edith Mathis, Richmond, Va., and Peggy Willingham, North Augusta; and six grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of American Legion Post 232.
