WRIGHTSVILLE, Ga. - Mr. Jack Hooks, 71, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000, at his residence.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. today at New Home Baptist Church with the Rev. Burton Dixon officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Hooks, a native of Washington County, was a Navy veteran of World War II and had retired as a pipe fitter from Plumbers and Steam Fitters Local Union 150, Augusta. He was a member of Scottish Rite, Macon, and Anderson Masonic Lodge 2243. He was Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Willete R. Hooks; three sons, David G. Hooks, Jackson, Steven R. Hooks, Rinson, and Vaughn H. Hooks, Evans; a daughter, Jakie H. Marlow, Lewisville, N.C.; and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Stanley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
