Mr. Rayford B. Johnson, 70, of Watkins Street, died Friday, July 28, 2000, at his residence.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Thankful Baptist Church with the Rev. Gregory Young officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Johnson, a native of Augusta, was an Army veteran of the Korean War and had retired from Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Centers dietetic service.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Terry Johnson; a son, Ray Bernard Johnson, Tennessee; a daughter, Bettina D. Johnson, Atlanta; his mother, Sarah Johnson, Augusta; three brothers, Charles Johnson, William Johnson and Herman Johnson, all of Augusta; and two sisters, Mary Smith and Jackie Edwards, both of Augusta.
Pallbearers will be Quincy Robertson, Luther P. Jordan Jr., Cornelius Doolittle, John Cummings, Wille J. Lott and Raybun Whigham.
Friends may call at the residence or at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
