BARNWELL, S.C. - Mrs. Kathryn Craven Lemon, died Saturday, July 29, 2000, at Laurel Crest Retirement Home.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Monday at Barnwell United Methodist Church with the Revs. Robert Clyburn and Hilton Johnson officiating. Burial will be private.
Mrs. Lemon, a native of Abbottsburg, N.C., and was a member of Cherokee Garden Club, where she served as president, Palmetto Garden Club of South Carolina, General John Barnwell Chapter of the Dar, Summitt Club, Litchfield Country Club, and several bridge and art clubs. She was a member of Barnwell County Museum, where she served as chairman of Organizing Board and of Barnwell United Methodist Church, where she served as president of United Methodist Women and taught Sunday school.
Survivors include a son, Clinton Calhoun Lemon Jr., Barnwell; two daughters, Kathryn Anne Clark, Columbia, and Mary Craven Townsend, Laurens; a brother, Robert Lamar Craven, Atlanta; and eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren .
