Jackets score early in win

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- The Augusta GreenJackets exploded for six runs in the first inning and went on to hold off the Cape Fear Crocs 7-5 in a South Atlantic League baseball game Saturday night.

Carlos Rodriguez hit his 12th home run to lead the GreenJackets, driving in three of the seven runs. Steve Minus had a 2-for-4 night, with one RBI, while Kenichiro Kawabata drove in two runs.

Anastacio Martinez got the win, going over the .500 mark to 6-5.
