Mr. Chalice Miller



NORTH AUGUSTA - Mr. Chalice E. Miller died Monday, July 10, 2000, at National Health Care.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at New Hope Christian Center, Augusta, with the Revs. Rich Bowen and Bryan Cockrell officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Miller had retired as former owner of East Georgia Supply Co. and Midas Muffler Co. and was a woodcrafter and furniture maker. He was a member of New Hope Church of God, where he served on Church Council, Pastors Council, Finance Committee, Building Committee and Sunday school superintendent.

The family said, "He was predeceased by his first wife, Esther H. Miller, and his parents, John and Rosa Miller."

Survivors include his wife, Grace Miller; two daughters, Patricia Conn, Cleveland, Tenn., and Doris Wages, Dalton, Ga.; two sisters, Erma Hensley and Verna Bentley, both of Champmansville, W.Va.; and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jeff McKee, Jim Couture, Gregory Conn, Christopher Conn, Bobby Whittington and Jeromy Conn.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of New Hope Christian Center Men's Fellowship Class.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Platt's Funeral Home, North Belair Road, Evans.
