Mr. Hal A. Hennis, 69, of Lawrence Drive, Evans, died Sunday, July 9, 2000, at University Hospital, Augusta.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Platt's Funeral Home, Belair Road, with the Rev. Larry Harmon officiating. Burial will be in Evans Baptist Church.
Mr. Hennis, a native of Evans, was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and had retired from Federal Paper Board. He was a member of West Acres Baptist Church, where he was a member of Love Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his wife, Helen W. Hennis; two sons, Harry B. Hennis, Lexington, S.C., and Andrew Hennis, Chattanooga, Tenn.; a sister, Rosemary Tiller, Evans; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Felton Butler, Jimmy Harper, Earl Morris, Larmar McKinney, Howard Jenkins, Calvin Polatty, Larry English and Dwight Johnson Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Love Sunday School Class.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
