MCCORMICK, S.C. - Mrs. Dorothy Smith Pruitt, 75, died Sunday, July 9, 2000, at Self Memorial Hospital, Greenwood.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at McCormick United Methodist Church with Don Clendanial officiating. Burial will be in McCormick City Cemetery.
Mrs. Pruitt, a native of McCormick, had retired as a schoolteacher. She was a graduate of Winthrop College and was a member of McCormick United Methodist Church, where she was a soloist in the choir, a member of the board of trustees and a member of Eula Keown Circle.
Survivors include her husband, William Austin Pruitt; a son, William Frederick Pruitt, Lexington; two daughters, Virginia Pruitt Littlejohn, Seneca; and Ann Pruitt Brown, Greenville; a brother, James L. Smith Jr., McCormick; a sister, Virginia Smith Coker, Hartsville; and seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Pressley Coker III, Edward Coker, Mike Smith, Stan Smith, Naurice White and Robin Fentress.
Memorials may be made to McCormick United Methodist Church.
Friends may call at the residence.
