Mr. Frank Rhode

Mr. Emil Frank Rhode, 85, of Augusta, died Friday, July 7, 2000, at Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Centers.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Poteet Funeral Home, Wheeler Road, with the Rev. Marion Jay officiating.

Mr. Rhode, a native of Winthrop Harbor, Ill., was a Navy veteran of World War II and an Army veteran of the Korean War. He had retired as a master sergeant from the Army. He had retired from U.S. Postal Service.

Survivors include his wife, Alice M. Rhode; a son, Daniel B. Rhode, Augusta; a daughter, Barbara Stripling, Martinez; and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home after the service.
