In an article in a weekly paper Georgia House District 114 candidate Sue Burmeister made the statement that she did not run against state Sen. Don Cheeks, D-Augusta, because she liked him "and worked well with him." But her No. 1 complaint about her opponent, state Rep. Robin Williams, R-Augusta, is that he works well with Democrats.
Isn't her gripe very hypocritical being that Sen. Cheeks is a senior Democrat? It's obvious that the whole Burmeister campaign is nothing more than just another attempt by the Williams haters to unseat a popular and effective incumbent.
I encourage the district's voters on July 18 to re-elect Rep. Williams and reject the petty and hypocritical politics of the Burmeister campaign.
