Re Michael Ledo's June 27 Chronicle letter in which he refers to a "talking [filtered word]" being mentioned in the Bible: I do not find that strange at all; they are still around today.
In fact, a letter from one of them was published in The Chronicle June 30, titled "Man is the head of church and home" and was written by the pastor of the Druid Park Avenue Bible Church, Rev. Clarence C. Murphy - apparently a Druid himself.
Was it not the Druids, for which Rev. Murphy's church is named, who invented Halloween?
