Mr. Tom Jackson



SARDIS, Ga. - Mr. Tom Jackson, 66, of Sparks Drive, died Friday, June 30, 2000, at Burke County Hospital, Waynesboro.

A memorial will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at DeLoach Funeral Home, Waynesboro, with family and friends officiating.

Mr. Jackson, a native of Burke County, was an Army veteran and had retired as owner of Jackson Appliance Service. He had retired rom Villa Marie Apartments, Augusta as maintenance supervisor. He was a member of Master City Bowling League, Brunswick Bowling League and North Augusta Bowling League. He was a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church.

The family said, "Prior to moving to Sardis, Ga., Mr. Jackson had lived in Richmond County for the past 50 years."

Survivors include two daughters, Amanda Jackson Godbee, Girard, and Suzann Jackson, Savannah; three brothers, Palmer Jackson, Everette Jackson and Marvin Jackson, all of Sardis; a sister, Mary Lois Patterson, Augusta; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
